Discover the offer of Venezia Mestre
Located on the border between the cities of Mestre and Marghera, Venezia Mestre is the North-East’s main connection to the rest of Italy, as it is intersected by all the major routes to Venezia and Triveneto. With its 30 mln visitors per year, Venezia Mestre represents the major mainland access hub to the world-famous lagoon city for many tourists, workers and students. Today, the station proves accessible, comfortable and rich of important services for passengers and locals.
Built in the wake of the activation of the Mestre-Bassano railway line in 1908, Venezia Mestre station – as it was renamed in 1927 – has undergone a series of enlargement interventions over its history, the most important of which was the replacement, in 1963, of its original building with the modern structure we know today.
